ORSOLYA MÁTYUS

Co-founder of WeCare architecture.

In 2018 she started the consortium Budapest Urban Ideals and was working as a Project Architect at PLANT Atelier Peter Kis and was coordinating the architectural design of the extension of the Városmajor Cardiac Clinic.

In 2016-2017 she was working as an Architectural Associate for the Healthcare Division of CPG Consultants in Singapore. Her role required active participation in architectural design for the International Medical University Hospital in Kuala Lumpur and she was working on the interior design for the National Centre for Infectious Diseases and for the Centre for Healthcare Innovation in Singapore.

She has been working with companies around the world. She followed her studies at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands where she also gained professional experience. Later she moved to Shanghai and she was involved in different projects in China.

She is convinced that as an architect, it is necessary to see different places around the globe, to travel, to seek inspiration. Once someone is working in a different context; knowledge and experience with that culture and their ways of doing are indispensable which makes the practice extremely challenging. However it is the best way to truly understand the place and to broaden someone’s horizons. As Singapore is a real architectural hub for the Asian Region, she is convinced that it was a great place for her to gain experience. However now the new challenge is to settle down in Europe and to establish an international presence in the architectural scene.
