IMU hospital will cater for 312 beds. The building is planned to be built in 2 phases, phase 1 will cater for 96 beds. The 3 main components of the building are the podium (basement until 3rd floor), the wards (4th, 5th and 6th floor) and the carpark building. With a common language the design binds all these components together, while interior cues were added so they remain distinguishable.
To emphasize the verticality and make the building look lighter it is visually split in 3 parts. For contrast and a more friendly character we are proposing to use different colours for the fins.
Because of its compactness and a challenging site our team was closely coordinating with the medical equipment planners and the management of the International Medical University to make sure that the building would be outstanding in its performance.
